System Engineer

About this role

Maintaining and optimizing the IT systems and infrastructure that support a major life insurance company requires a deep understanding of both technology and the strict security requirements of the financial sector. The System Engineer at KBZ Life Insurance in Bahan ensures that all servers, networks, and applications remain highly available and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain enterprise servers, storage systems, and network infrastructure
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies
• Execute system backups, disaster recovery tests, and data restoration procedures to protect critical policyholder information
• Implement and manage cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, access controls, and endpoint protection
• Support the deployment and updating of core business applications, such as policy administration systems
• Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, coordinating with external vendors when necessary

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• Proven experience in system administration, network engineering, or IT infrastructure management
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, virtualization platforms, and network security protocols
• Familiarity with the regulatory and compliance standards governing data security in the financial sector
• Relevant professional IT certifications are highly valued
