About this role

Role overview Oversee production operations on the factory floor at RK Yangon Steel's Thanlyin plant, ensuring that steel manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and to quality specifications. This senior supervisory role manages a team of operators and coordinates closely with maintenance and quality control departments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities on the steel rolling mill or fabrication lines to meet output targets
• Manage and allocate work among operators, ensuring adequate staffing for each shift
• Monitor product quality at each production stage and coordinate with quality control to address defects
• Enforce strict workplace safety standards and ensure all personnel wear appropriate PPE
• Track production metrics including output volume, yield rates, scrap levels, and equipment utilization
• Coordinate with maintenance, logistics, and planning teams to resolve production bottlenecks

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in steel manufacturing, metalworking, or heavy industry
• Strong knowledge of steel production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations
• Leadership skills to manage a team of factory operators across multiple shifts
• Problem-solving ability to address production issues quickly and effectively
