About this role

Role overview Lead the accounting function at Shwe Chan Company's trading operations in Kamaryut. This mid-level role is responsible for preparing financial statements, managing the full accounting cycle, and ensuring compliance with Myanmar's financial reporting and tax requirements in a trading business context.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle from transaction recording through to financial statement preparation
• Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements
• Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization for trading operations
• Ensure timely and accurate tax computations and filings
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and manage relationships with banks and auditors
• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff on accounting procedures and standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; professional accounting qualification is a plus
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, with exposure to the trading, import-export, or distribution sector
• Strong knowledge of Myanmar accounting standards and tax regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel
• Supervisory experience and the ability to guide junior staff
