About this role
The Project Coordinator at Myanmar Development Foundation manages the operational execution of development projects from the Yangon office. This role ensures that project activities stay aligned with organizational objectives and donor requirements, which is the fundamental accountability in the development sector. Projects address community-level needs, so the coordinator must balance office-based planning with field-level implementation realities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project work plans, timelines, and activity budgets in coordination with program managers
- Monitor project implementation against agreed milestones and deliverables
- Prepare donor reports documenting progress, expenditures, and challenges encountered
- Coordinate with field staff, partner organizations, and government counterparts on project activities
- Organize and document project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations
- Identify implementation risks and propose corrective actions to keep projects on track
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination within the NGO or development sector
- Experience with donor reporting formats and requirements from international development agencies
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple project components simultaneously
- Excellent written communication for report writing and proposal development
