About this role
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at Myanmar Social Impact designs and operates the systems that determine whether the organization's programs are achieving their intended outcomes. Based in Yangon, this role requires someone who can build logical frameworks, collect and analyze data rigorously, and communicate findings to both program staff and external donors in a way that drives program improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop M&E frameworks including logframes, theories of change, and indicator matrices for new and existing programs
- Design data collection tools such as surveys, interview guides, and observation checklists
- Conduct field visits to collect primary data and verify the accuracy of partner-reported information
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
- Prepare M&E reports for donors, board members, and program teams with clear findings and actionable recommendations
- Train program staff on data collection protocols and basic M&E concepts to improve data quality at the source
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Social Science, Development Studies, or a related analytical discipline
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on M&E experience within the NGO or development sector
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SPSS, or Stata
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to present complex data in accessible formats
- Understanding of donor M&E requirements from major international development agencies
