About this role
As HR Executive at Makro Myanmar in Mingalar Taung Nyunt, you support the full employee lifecycle across Makro's stores and head office in Yangon. Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment drives for retail and warehouse roles, managing onboarding paperwork for new hires, maintaining accurate employee records in HRIS systems, and handling staff queries on policies, benefits, and leave entitlements. You will also assist in organizing mandatory training sessions, distributing policy updates, and supporting payroll preparation with attendance data. This mid-level HR role is essential to maintaining workforce stability in a large-scale retail environment with hundreds of employees across multiple shifts. With a salary range of MMK 4–7 lakhs per month, the position offers deep exposure to multinational retail HR practices and pathways into compensation, employee relations, or HRBP specialization for proactive team members.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of HR operations experience, preferably in retail, FMCG, or large-scale distribution environments. Solid understanding of Myanmar labor regulations including SSB contributions, leave types, and termination procedures. Strong organizational skills to manage high-volume paperwork and sensitive employee data with discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning HRIS platforms. Ability to communicate clearly with both management and frontline workers in Myanmar language; basic English for internal reporting is beneficial. Candidates based in Mingalar Taung Nyunt, Mayangone, or nearby Yangon townships are preferred for consistent office-hour attendance.
