M&E Technician

About this role

Performing mechanical and electrical maintenance to ensure the uninterrupted operation of facilities and equipment is vital for both hospitality and retail businesses. The M and E Technician at Innopex Company in Tamwe is responsible for keeping the physical infrastructure running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections on air conditioning systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and kitchen equipment
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical faults and perform necessary repairs to minimize operational downtime
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests from staff across hospitality and retail outlets
• Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment replacements
• Coordinate with external contractors and specialized technicians for complex repairs beyond internal capabilities
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with local safety codes and occupational health standards

Requirements:

• Technical diploma or vocational certification in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering
• Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in hotels, restaurants, or commercial retail spaces
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently under pressure
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, plumbing networks, and general electrical infrastructure
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends or holidays if maintenance emergencies arise
