About this role

Role overview Manage a portfolio of microfinance clients in Ayeyarwady, from initial screening through loan disbursement to repayment monitoring. This field-based role is the primary point of contact between Real Aid Microfinance and the communities it serves, requiring both financial acumen and strong interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities

• Screen and appraise loan applicants through site visits, financial assessments, and group interviews
• Disburse loans in accordance with approved credit policies and microfinance regulations
• Monitor borrower repayment performance through regular field visits and group meetings
• Identify early warning signs of default and work with clients to develop repayment solutions
• Educate clients on financial literacy, loan terms, and responsible borrowing practices
• Prepare weekly portfolio reports including disbursement volumes, repayment rates, and overdue accounts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of experience in microfinance lending, banking, or community-based financial services
• Understanding of microfinance credit assessment methodologies and Myanmar microfinance regulations
• Willingness to travel daily within the Ayeyarwady region for client visits
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with low-income borrowers
