Junior Supervisor (Maintenance)

Role overview Assist the maintenance department in keeping the steel manufacturing equipment and facilities at RK Yangon Steel's Thanlyin plant operational. This junior supervisory role involves coordinating with technicians, tracking maintenance schedules, and ensuring that equipment downtime does not disrupt production.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in scheduling and coordinating preventive maintenance activities for steel rolling mills, cranes, and auxiliary equipment
• Monitor daily maintenance work orders and ensure technicians complete tasks on schedule
• Maintain maintenance logs, spare parts usage records, and equipment history files
• Coordinate with the production team to align maintenance windows with production schedules
• Report recurring equipment issues to senior engineers and recommend corrective actions
• Enforce safety protocols during maintenance activities on the factory floor

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Maintenance
• Experience in a manufacturing maintenance role, preferably in steel, metalworking, or heavy industry
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial setting
• Organizational skills to track multiple work orders and maintenance schedules
• Commitment to workplace safety standards in a heavy manufacturing environment
