Junior Accountant

About this role

Supporting the accounting department in managing the financial records associated with international trade operations requires an understanding of both standard bookkeeping and the specialized documentation used in export and import. The Junior Accountant at Kozicol Intertrade assists in tracking the complex flow of invoices, duties, and multi-currency transactions that characterize cross-border commerce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record daily financial transactions related to import purchases, export sales, and shipping costs into the accounting system
• Assist in calculating and verifying customs duties, commercial taxes, and other trade-related expenses
• Match shipping invoices and bills of lading against purchase orders and goods received notes
• Support the maintenance of accounts payable and receivable ledgers for international vendors and clients
• Assist senior accountants during the monthly financial closing process by preparing reconciliation schedules
• Organize and file trade documentation, including letters of credit and customs declarations, for audit purposes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of export/import procedures and international trade terminology
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle high volumes of transactional data
• Eager to learn the specialized financial mechanics of international trade
