About this role
Role overview Protect the insurer's information systems by monitoring security access, assessing vulnerabilities, and responding to potential threats. This role safeguards sensitive policyholder data and ensures Prudential Myanmar's IT environment complies with insurance industry data protection regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs to detect suspicious activity and potential security incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on the insurer's applications and infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection
- Investigate security breaches, document findings, and coordinate remediation with the IT team
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations specific to the insurance and financial services sector
- Develop security awareness training materials for staff to reduce human-factor security risks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Computer Science
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT security, preferably within the insurance, banking, or financial services industry
- Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools, vulnerability scanners, and SIEM platforms
- Understanding of insurance industry data protection requirements and regulatory frameworks
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are advantageous
