The Day Pass operations role at Makro Myanmar manages the process by which non-member visitors access the wholesale store. Unlike standard retail, Makro operates a membership-based wholesale model, so handling day passes requires verifying visitor eligibility, explaining membership value, and converting walk-in visitors into registered business customers. This position operates across Mingalar Taung Nyunt and Insein.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process day pass requests by verifying visitor identity and business credentials
- Explain the difference between day pass access and full membership benefits to prospective customers
- Encourage day pass visitors to sign up for membership by outlining pricing advantages and bulk purchase options
- Maintain accurate records of day pass issuances, visitor volumes, and conversion rates
- Coordinate with the membership desk to ensure smooth handoff of interested visitors
- Manage the visitor queue during peak hours to maintain orderly store entry
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background
- Experience in customer-facing roles such as reception, front desk, or retail greeting
- Strong verbal communication skills in both Myanmar and English
- Friendly and approachable demeanor with the ability to engage strangers in conversation
- Comfortable using basic computer systems for visitor registration and tracking
