About this role
Data Cleaning staff at Makro Myanmar ensure that the information flowing through the company's inventory, pricing, and customer databases is accurate and consistent. This role focuses on identifying errors, duplicates, and inconsistencies in large datasets that power wholesale operations across Mingalar Taung Nyunt and Insein locations. Clean data is essential for accurate purchasing decisions, inventory counts, and customer billing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit product master data for duplicate entries, incorrect pricing, and missing attributes
- Clean and standardize customer records to ensure accurate billing and communication
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between the ERP system and physical inventory records
- Work with department heads to validate data corrections before system updates
- Generate data quality reports highlighting error trends and improvement areas
- Support data migration activities during system upgrades or new store openings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Experience in data cleaning, data entry, or database administration preferably in retail or wholesale
- Strong proficiency in spreadsheet software including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation
- Meticulous attention to detail and patience for repetitive data review tasks
- Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL is advantageous
