About this role

The Customer Sales and Service role at Makro Myanmar is a front-line position that bridges the gap between the wholesale store and its business customers. Based in Mingalar Taung Nyunt and Insein, this role handles customer inquiries, processes transactions, and proactively identifies opportunities to help business customers find the right products for their needs. Makro serves restaurants, retailers, and institutional buyers, so the customer base is fundamentally different from standard retail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist wholesale customers with product inquiries, locating items, and understanding bulk pricing structures
  • Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
  • Explain Makro membership benefits, bulk purchase terms, and credit account procedures to new and existing customers
  • Handle customer complaints and escalate complex issues to the store management team
  • Maintain the customer service counter area in a clean and organized condition
  • Collaborate with floor staff to ensure product availability matches customer demand

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Prior experience in customer service, sales, or front-desk operations preferably in wholesale or retail
  • Strong communication skills in both Myanmar and English
  • Comfortable using computerized point-of-sale and inventory lookup systems
  • Professional demeanor suitable for interacting with business owners and procurement officers
