About this role
Checkers at Makro Myanmar are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all outgoing wholesale orders before they leave the store. This position operates at the critical checkpoint between the warehouse floor and customer delivery, ensuring that business customers receive exactly what they ordered in the correct quantities and condition. The role is based across Makro locations in Mingalar Taung Nyunt and Insein.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify ordered items against picking lists and invoices for every outbound shipment
- Inspect product quality and packaging integrity before dispatch
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical stock
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to correct picking errors promptly
- Maintain accurate logs of checked orders and error rates for reporting
- Support inventory reconciliation processes during stock counts
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Experience in warehouse checking, order verification, or quality inspection in a retail or wholesale environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot quantity and quality issues under time pressure
- Basic literacy in English and Myanmar for reading product labels and order documents
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and handle wholesale-sized packages
