Role overview Handle daily cash transactions at Real Aid Microfinance's branch in Ayeyarwady, ensuring that all loan disbursements, repayments, and operational funds are processed accurately. This role is critical in a microfinance operation where cash handling integrity directly affects client trust and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process loan disbursements to borrowers and collect loan repayments in cash and digital formats
• Maintain the cash drawer, performing daily reconciliations against the transaction system
• Issue receipts, update account records, and ensure all transactions are documented per microfinance regulations
• Manage petty cash for branch operational expenses
• Report discrepancies, counterfeit currency, or suspicious transactions to the branch supervisor immediately
• Assist clients with basic account inquiries and direct complex questions to loan officers

Requirements

• High school diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Prior cashier or teller experience, preferably in a microfinance institution, bank, or cooperative
• Strong numeracy and cash-handling skills with absolute accuracy
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and cash management procedures
• Honest, disciplined, and capable of handling confidential financial information
