The Bakery role at Makro Myanmar involves overseeing the preparation and merchandising of baked goods in quantities specifically tailored for business customers such as restaurants, hotels, and institutional caterers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily baking schedules to ensure a continuous supply of breads, pastries, and confectionery items for wholesale buyers
- Monitor product quality, taste, and presentation to ensure consistency across all batches produced
- Manage bakery inventory, including flour, yeast, and specialty ingredients, coordinating with procurement to prevent shortages
- Enforce strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in all baking and storage areas
- Package products efficiently for bulk purchase, ensuring items remain fresh during transport to business customers
- Minimize production waste through accurate demand forecasting and proper stock rotation
Requirements:
- Professional experience in bakery production, pastry arts, or large-scale food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and food safety regulations
- Ability to manage high-volume production schedules while maintaining consistent product quality
- Physical capability to handle heavy bags of ingredients and stand for extended periods
- Leadership skills to guide and coordinate bakery staff effectively
